POLIO
The
just concluded Polio immunization exercise has recorded success in Kirfi Local
Government.
A
Statement signed by the state facilitator on immunization, Sallau Bakoji,
issued to BRC FM Kirfi reporter shows that 55,205 children were immunized
against Polio virus in the Local Government.

The
statement indicated that the number of immunized children this round exceeds
that of the previous round by 547 children.
Sallau
Bakoji attributed the success to the joint efforts of all stake holders in the
exercise.
He
commended the traditional rulers and religious leaders for embarking on
thorough enlightenment campaigns’ on the importance of the immunization.
Sallau
Bakoji urged the stakeholders to continue with this good work as the virus is
not yet eradicated.
Contributing,
the health educator, Kirfi Local Government, Abdullahi M. Bello appealed to the
Primary HealthCare Development Agencies to supply pluses at a right time as
lack of pluses hinders the implementation of the exercise in the first day.
The
cold chain officer, Kirfi Local Government Ibrahim Baba Kirfi appealed to the
stakeholders to ensure the mobilization of parents to ensure success of the
next rounds of the immunization exercises.
