FRSC, BARA UNIT COMMAND



The Federal Road Safety Commission Bara unit command of Kirfi local government has urged motorist to observe strictly the rules and regulations of road use in the area.

The Route commandant, Adamu Dandija made the call at a BRC FM, Kirfi live radio programme “MATA FIYA ADOWO LAFIYA”.

Adamu Dandija said, the unit command will soon embark on an intensive special patrol which is aimed at addressing the spate of avoidable road crashes usually associated with surge of human and vehicular traffic across the Bauchi-Gombe federal highway.

He said, the exercise will witness intensive patrols, prompt rescue services, strict enforcement of traffic rules and robust public enlightment campaigns in the area.

Adamu Dandija added that, road traffic crashes are avoidable and only obedience to road use best practices will guaranty the safety of all road users in the area.

He appealed to motorist to ensure strict compliance with all traffic rules and proper maintenance of vehicles which ply the highways as there will be no waiver for any interaction for any infractions by motorist.

He also calls on passengers to monitor their drivers, as any form of compromise may lead to complacent person to grave consequently.

Adamu Dandija appealed to traditional rulers in the area to assist the command by enlightening the general public on road use to avert avoidable road accidents in their domain.

He also appealed to the general public to give them maximum cooperation to discharge their duties effectively.
