NEWS: Anti-Curruption Committee



The Anti-Corruption Committee has been inaugurated in Kirfi Local Government.
Inaugurating the committee in his office, the chairman Care-taker Committee, Kirfi Local Government, Alhaji Garba Sabo Bara, tasked the members to monitor and ensure that bribery and corruption is reduced to zero level in the Local Government.

Alhaji Garba Sabo Bara said, bribery and corruption is more than looting of public funds as people were expecting.
He said certain acts like Truancy, late coming to duty as well as closing before the official closing time by civil servants are elements of bribery and corruption. 
The care-taker committee chairman appealed to civil servants to discharge their assigned duties according to the civil service regulations. 
He urge the members of the committee to discharge their duties as scheduled and that they have liberty to do their operations on all irrespective of one’s position.
 
Alhaji Garba Sabo Bara also advised them to organize series of enlightenment campaigns, and printing of bulletins, stickers and posters to enlighten the general public of the negative effects of bribery and corruption.

Responding, the chairman of the committee, Honourable Sa’idu Aliyu Cheledi, commended the chairman, care-taker committee for giving them the opportunity to serve the humanity. 
 
Honorable Sa’idu Aliyu appealed to the general public to give them maximum cooperation to achieve the goal of setting-up the committee.
