NEWS: Beni District



An appealed has been made to the beneficiaries of the Dallatu Extra Moral Programme to give their maximum cooperation to ensure the success of the programme.

The district head of Beni Alhaji Barau Sule Beni made the appeal while addressing the gathering at the flagging off ceremony of the programme in Beni center, held at the Junior Secondary School Beni.

Alh. Barau Sule Beni said, imparting a sound education to the teeming youths is the only way to move the area and the entire local government forward.
He therefore urged the beneficiaries to participate actively for the success of the area.

The district head said, the area has suffered a setback in terms of health workers and school teachers, which he attributed to the low level of children enrollment to schools in the area.

He warned the beneficiaries against indecent dressing and bad behavior, and urged the committee to take strict measures against who so ever is found wanting during the programme.


Alh. Barau Sule thanked the honorable member representing Kirfi local government in the state house of assembly, Hon. Abdulkadir Umar Dewu (Dallatun Dewu) for taking positive steps in ensuring that youths of the area are being educated.

He called on people of Kirfi, especially those in the riverine areas to pray for the success of the Hon. Member in his future endeavor. 

Alh. Barau Sule Beni also thanked the programme coordinator for his hard work in ensuring the success of the programme in the local government.

Contributing,the leader of the monitoring team in the center, Honorable Sa’adu Isah Guyaba (Uban Doman Beni), appealed to the beneficiaries to work tirelessly for the success of the programme and the area.

He said, the programme is designed at assisting the local government indigenes who did not acquire the required number of credits to secure admission into tertiary institutions to further their education.

Hon Sa’adu Guyaba assured the beneficiaries that, the committee will not relent in its effort to secure admissions and paying the first registration fee for who so ever passes his/her exams successfully.

He advised the youths to use this ample opportunity given to them to develop themselves morally and academically.

He warned the beneficiaries against truancy and consuming harmful substances which has a serious effect to their health.

Hon Sa’adu Guyaba advised the youths to be of good conduct throughout the programme and prayed to Allah (S.W.A) to guide and protect them in their future endeavor.

Commenting, one of the instructors, Abdullahi Umar urged the beneficiaries to be law abiding and advised them to try as much as possible to have 75% attendance which will qualify them for the scholarship.

Abdullahi Umar also appealed to other instructors to discharge their duties effectively for the success of the programme.
