Task-force Committee
Political and Religious factors have
been considered as the major factors that deter the successful implementation
of Immunization exercises in Kirfi Local Government.
The health Education officer, Kirfi
Local Government, Malam Abdullahi M. Bello disclosed this while briefing the
members of Local Government Technical Taskforce committee on Immunization at
the cold chain office in Kirfi.
Abdullahi M. Bello urged the committee
to take necessary actions and techniques to wipe-out the impediment.
Responding, the state facilitator,
Kirfi Local Government, Malam Sallau Bakoji urged the committee to embark on
series of enlightenment campaigns to ensure success of the next rounds of
immunization.
Sallau Bakoji also said, although the
exercise recoded 101% success in the last round, but still there are few
element of non-compliance.
He therefore urge the committee to
work tirelessly to ensure that the virus is kicked out of Nigeria forever.
Contributing, the district of Beni,
Alhaji Barau Sule Beni urged government at various levels to intervene in
completing the contruction of Guyaba Primary Health Centre.
Alhaji Barau Sule Beni, also appealed
to the PHC department of the Local Government to post qualified Health
personnel to the newly constructed and equipped Bure Maternity Clinic to man
the equipments.
Commenting, the district head of
Kirfi, Alhaji Ladan Muhammed (Wamban Bauchi) charged the members of the
committee to embark on massive enlightenment campaigns on the importance of
immunization.
Alhaji Ladan Mohammed appealed to the
public to give maximum co-operation for the success of the exercise, as the oral Polio vaccine
is not harmful to their children.
He prayed for Allahu (SWA) to protect
the committee in their Endeavour.
In his response, the care taker
committee chairman Kirfi Local Government, represented by his deputy Alhaji
Adamu Muhammed (Danlawan Cheledi) urge people to give their maximum co-operation to
immunization exercise.
Alhaji Adamu Muhammad ordered the
Director Primary Health Care Department to post medical Personnel at Bure
Maternity clinic soon to prevent the equipment put in place in the health
facility from damaging.
