NEWS: District Heads

The newly turbaned village and District heads in the state have been advised to ensure justice and fairness in the the discharge of their responsibilities.

The former speaker of the state house of assembly Alhaji Baffa Haruna Disina explained that the coronation of the village and district heads was aimed at bring government more closer to the people, as they will serve as a bridge between the two bodies.

He however charged them to inculcate the fear of God in their minds and cooperate with the government, to enable it provide more dividends of democracy to the citizenry.

Alhaji Bappah Disina also called on the people to remain loyal to their leaders and be security cautions, for the peace to reign in the state and the country in general.

He commended the state government under the Yuguda led administration for creating more village and district heads areas saying that the move will assist in no small measure toward ensuring rapid development in the state.

On the need to give Katagum zone a chance to produce a governorship candidate, the former speaker opined that it was a step toward ensuring fairness among the people of the state.

Alhaji Bappah Disina said that the move was not meant to create disunity between the northern and southern parts of the state, but to have a sense of belonging and therefore called on all stakeholders in the state to support the move.

He however reiterated that they are not backing any candidate, but they are ready to support anybody who has the interest to aspire for the governorship post from the zone.
