NEWS:National Prayer


PRAYER
The three day National Prayer organized by the state Government in collaboration with Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Foundation has today been rounded up with a pledge by the state government to support religious leaders to sustain the initiative.

Declaring the prayer closed, the state Governor Malam Isa Yuguda, said his decision to join hands with Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi Foundation to organize the religious gathering, was informed by his desire for the sustenance of peace and stability of the country.
Malam Isa Yuguda  who said his administration believes in the power of prayer, calls on the people of the state not to relent in offering prayers for continued peaceful co-existence of the state and the nation at large.
According to the Governor, as the state chief executive, he will account in the hereafter, all that transpire in all parts of the state, stressing that the greatest weapon that could be used to achieve the desired goal is prayer.
The Governor thanked Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani Ibrahim Inyass from Senegal, Sheihk Umar Sise from Morocco and the over Five Thousand memorizers of the holy Qur’an from across the country, for supporting the state government in seeking Allah’s intervention in the affairs of the country.
In his remark, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi said, memorizers of the holy Qur’an who participated in the session, have had complete recitation of the holy book for One Thousand and Eleven times, where they prayed Allah to bless the country with peace, progress and economic development.
Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi thanked the state governor for his assistance which he said, made the prayer gathering unique.
Other speakers at the event include Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani Ibrahim Nyass , head of Tijjaniyya sect from Senegal and Sheikh Umar Sise from Morocco who said whenever the people face calamities, their way out is prayer.
The Islamic scholars prayed for the return of peace in both Syria and Egypt as well as other trouble areas in the universe.
Earlier in a welcome remark, the chairman of the organizing committee and the state commissioner of Education Alhaji  Ibrahim Muhammad Aminu, said the committee had enjoyed all the support from the state government which made the forum a huge success.
Five thousand memorizers and Nine Hundred reciters of the holy qur’an from Twenty States of the federation participated in the exercise which was conducted at the Games Village, Bauchi.
