BUDGET
Governor Isa Yuguda has presented a budget of  One Hundred and Thirty Three Billion Seven Hundred  and Thirty Million Eight Hundred and Thirty Thousand , Fifty Naira for the 2014 capital and recurrent expenditure to the state House of Assembly.

This comprises of Sixty Four Billion Nine Hundred and Fifty Two Million , Nine Hundred and Sixty Thousand Naira for recurrent expenditure and Sixty Eight Billion, Seven Hundred and Seventy Seven  Million, Nine Hundred and Twenty Thousand , Four Hundred and Fifty Naira for capital expendire.

Governor Yuguda explained that the proposed budget break down of the projected revenue and expenditure include, recurrent  revenue of Eighty Seven Billion , Two Hundred and Ten Million, One Hundred and Sixty Thousand, Eight Hundred and Four Naira was estimated.

He said Nine Billion Four Hundred and Sixty Million, Eight Hundred and Four Naira was budgeted for internally generated revenue, while Seventy Seven Billion , Seven Hundred and Fifty Million Naira was for Federal statutory allocation.

Malam Isa Yuguda further stated that the the recurrent expenditure estimate stood at Sixty Four Billion, Nine Hundred and Ninety Four Million, Nine Thousand and six Hundred Naira.

Presenting the budget proposal, Malam Isa Yuguda said in the 2014 fiscal year, his administration will focus on key areas of Agriculture,Education, Health, Water Supply, Poverty Alleviation and Women Empowerment.

He however stated that although the 2013 budget implementation was was a little above average due to security challenges in the country, almost all the projects in the state have reached appreciable level of completion.

According to the Governor, no new project will be embarked upon in 2014 and assured the completion of all on going projects.

He used the occasion to solicit for continued harmonious working relationship between the Assembly and State Executive to guarantee peaceful coexistence in the state.
